58R. M. Palyi to Harrod, 4 June, 1923 [a]
Replies to two letters not found. Palyi is glad that Harrod's visit to Germany was profitable. He is also glad that Harrod was interested in Max Weber's book, [1] asks if Harrod could send him some books in English--in particular, the latest from Hawtrey and Lavington [2] --, and asks for suggestions as to which books could be translated into German.
2. R. G. Hawtrey, Monetary Reconstruction, London: Longmans, 1923; F. Lavington, The Trade Cycle: An Account of the Causes Producing Rhythmical Changes in the Activity of Business, London: King & Son, 1922. Harrod sent the books on 12 June, for which Palyi thanked on 19 June (in KHLM 197).
