56R. Harrod to J. M. Keynes, 9 April 1923 [a]

Harrod describes his stay in Germany: "I havent learned much economics in Germany. I spent my time partly in cultivating the higher intensity of spirit, partly in learning German Grammar". He reports his impressions of M. Bonn. [1] "I shall soon be at my work now. The tutorial system will keep me busy and Christ Church will give me historians to teach. So a long time must still pass before I shall be able to call myself an economist. However I have said that I shall give lectures on Money this next October, paradoxical tho that must be". [2]

1. 1. Keynes seems to have written to Moritz Bonn asking him to take care of Harrod, as is suggested by a letter from Bonn to Keynes concerning arrangements regarding Harrod's stay in Berlin ( Bonn to Keynes, 19 December 1922 , in KHLM 5).
