37R. Eric Siepmann to Harrod, 23 October 1922 [a]

Replies to a letter not found. Siepmann inquires whether Harrod knows Frank Ramsey, "a mathematician & I think political economist at Trinity", and asks Harrod to tell Ramsey about him. [1]

1. 1. Harrod later recollected that discussing with Ramsey gave him great stimulus during the term he spent in Cambridge under Keynes's guidance: see Life of John Maynard Keynes (1951), pp. 320-21. Harrod and Ramsey kept in touch in the following years, as witnessed by a number of extant invitations to reciprocal visits: see note 1 to letter 85 R, and letters 158 and 159 .
