DESCRIPTION

The aim is to develop a specific capability in the field of management of innovation processes and entrepreneurial activities in general. In particular, the focus is on hi-tec firms and web-based businesses. According to this purpose, the course proposes basic notions, theoretical models and case studies about topics such as: development of new product, implementation of new processes, change management, business plan, start-up project, network management, and so on.


PROGRAM

  •  Introduction to the innovation management: basic principles and concepts;
  • the knowledge economy: key issues in the contemporary scenario;
  • theories of the firm and the role of change;
  • strategy design and business models for start-ups, knowledge intensive firms and hi-tec companies;
  • understanding of the innovation process: discovery, development and delivery of ideas;
  • Appropriability of competitive advantage and defence of intellectual propriety: legal and strategic mechanisms;
  • Finding financial resources for innovative project: Venture capital and Business angels;
  • knowledge production vs knowledge brokering;
  • network best practices;
  • ICT, Web2.0 and Enterprise 2.0
