Dear Friends and colleagues,

        given the great success of the first Athens-Pavia meeting held in Mati, Attica in 2008 (www.stat-athens.aueb.gr/~pavia) we are organizing the second edition and are pleased to invite you in Sardegna from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2010.

The new Organizing Committee is:

- Samanta Pederzoli (Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milano, Italy)
- Claudia Tarantola (University of Pavia, Italy)

Given the composition and the affiliations of the commitee we have slightly modified the name of the conference to Greco Italian Meeting on Statistics.

        We would like you to contribute a presentation at the conference. The meeting will be characterized by informal discussions and exchange of ideas between the partecipants. The number of partecipants will be limited to 40-50 people: partecipation is by invitation only. You can extend the invitation to your PhD students and post-docs.

The Scientific Committee is:

        The conference hotel is the Don Diego Hotel (www.hoteldondiego.com) and the conference will be held in a close by conference center. Transportation from Don Diego Hotel to the conference center will be provided.

        The expected day of arrival and departure are the 23rd and 25th of September 2010, respectively.
