Dear Harrod

Do come and stay with us for a weekend. If the 18th is convenient to you it might be best as we have a feast then, and I don't suppose you'd mind bringing evening dress. But any other one would do quite well if you let me know fairly soon.

Your remarks on saving seem to me quite right. I can't say what effect raising the rate of interest ought to have on saving; it is too complicated, and also difficult to define what "more saving" would mean.

And what's [b] more important too is the effect it would have in practice, not supposing people to act so rationally.
