602Z. Shepherd to Harrod, 10 August, 1939 [a]

Follows on from 601 Z. Shepherd thanks for a letter (not found) dated August 5, with comments relating to the alterations introduced to meet Craven-Ellis's and Sir Charles's points on bank credit and savings, and on the cessation of future borrowing. The point raised by Harrod in his the article on "Conscription of Wealth" [1] was accepted, that conscription of men should be accompanied by conscription of profit.
