494Z. H. O. Meredith to Harrod, [10] October, 1938 [a]

Meredith is glad that Harrod accepted, [1] and thinks he will receive the appointment before Christmas. He sends a sermon on peace and politics, which he thinks Harrod has `invited'.

  1. a. From The Queen's University of Belfast, Economics and Commerce#, 2 pages ALS, in HPBL 72764/132.
  1. 1. It is not clar what Harrod was invited for. The meeting, however, probably took place at the end of June, 1939, as is suggested by the fact that Harrod later renounced attending the International Chamber of Commerce conference in favour of a meeting in Belfast: see letter 579 Z.
