440Z. Fremantle to Harrod, 29 December, 1937 [a]
Follows on from 729 , the exchange continues at 442 Z. Fremantle thanks for a letter of 24 December. He discusses how to amend the Bill with regard to the profession of the parents. In his opinion, Harrod could send the letter  to A. P. Herbert and cultivate his support.

2. Harrod had attacked Herbert's position in his letter to the Times of 9 December "The Population Bill. A Long-Sighted Measure" ( 1937:18 , press item 18 ).
