Lindemann is sorry not to be able to help Harrod in his `aeronautical matter', and suggests him to ask G. P. Thomson, Professor of Physics at South Kensington. [1]

  1. 1. No correspondence between Harrod and Thomson is extant in the Thomson or in the Harrod papers. An exchange on Lindemann's spin-nose flight, however, took place in 1959, when Harrod was writing his account of the episode for The Prof. The materials are collected in GPT file GG2.
