Taussig, Frank William

Taussig (1859-40) was educated at Washington University in St Louis, Harvard (where he became Instructor, 1882, assistant professor, 1886, professor, 1892, and emeritus professor, 1935) and Berlin University. He was editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics (1889-90 and 1896-1935), president of the American Economic Association (1904 and 1905) and chairperson of the United States Tariff Commission (1917-19).
