Kenworthy, Joseph Montague

Kenworthy (1886-1953, succeeded father as Lord Strabolgi, 10th Baron of England, 1934) was educated at the Royal Naval Academy, Winchester; he entered the navy in 1902 and retired in 1920 with the rank of lieutenant-commander. He was a Member of Parliament for the Liberal Party (1919-26) and for the Labour Party (1926-31), and was opposition chief whip in the House of Lords (1938-42).
