Faber, Geoffrey (Cust)

Faber (1889-1961, knighted 1954) began his publishing career almost immediately after concluding his studies at Rugby School and Christ Church, Oxford, by joining the Oxford University Press (1913-14). He was fellow (from 1919) and estate bursar (1923-51) of All Souls, Oxford, and founder and president of Faber & Faber, publishers.
