Ebbisham (1868-1953, 1st Baron, created 1922) was senior sheriff and lord major of the City of London (1917-18 and 1926-27), Unionist Member of Parliament (1918-28), treasurer of the Conservative Party organization (1931-33), vice-grand master and later chancellor and treasurer of the Primrose League.
