Croom-Johnson, Henry Powell

Croom-Johnson (1910-94), educated at Stowe School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, was assistant master at Bedford School (1932-34). He joined the staff of the British Council in 1935, became secretary to the Lecture Committee in 1936, was controller of the Finance Division (1951) and controller of the European Division (1956).
