Bridge, Charles Edward Dunscomb

Bridge (1886-1961) was educated in Bradley. He served in France and Italy, and later became assistant military attaché in Washington (1920-23) and military attaché at Warsaw and Prague (1927-28) and Rome (1940). He was secretary-general of the British Council from its foundation in November 1934 until April 1940.
