866. Winston Churchill to Harrod , 29 October 1938 [a]

[Replies to 863 , continues at 874 ]

Chartwell, Westerham #

29 October 1938

My dear Roy Harrod,

Thank you very much for your letter. I do not think you have any reason to regret the Oxford election. [1] It shows there is no land slide in favour of submission to Nazidom.

I do not think the moment is yet ripe for such a meeting as you propose. The Winter Session should be full of instruction to us all, but I think your personal activities can do nothing but good.

Thank you very much for writing to me.

Yours sincerely,

Winston S Churchill

P.S. Please keep in touch.
