548R. H. B. W. Joseph to Harrod, 26 April 1936 [a]
Replies to a letter not found, follows on from 546 R. Joseph sends his paper, re-written taking account of some of the elucidations Harrod has sent; he thinks, however, that they will not be able to come any nearer. In reply to a further letter from Harrod, Joseph points out that Harrod's new definition of "motive", introduced to meet Joseph's objection that here can be different motives, is not really acceptable, as one cannot use the word "generally" into a definition. Continues at 549 R.
