The letter concerns the organization of a lecture by Gertrude Stein, for which Harrod had proposed some dates. [1]

Gertrude Stein eventually agreed to lecture on 11 February (Abdy to Harrod, 12 December 1935, in HPBL Add. 71191/162-63); further arrangements were discussed on 31 January 1936 (two letters, in HPBL Add. 71191/177-82).
