445. Harrod to N. Kaldor , 29 March 1935 [a]
Christ Church, Oxford #
29 March 1935
My dear Kaldor
I forget if I ever wrote to thank you for sending me the offprint, which I have just read. I was most interested in it. I think it is essential to get away from the notion that normal profit is attained in imperfect competition, which is a fault which mars the otherwise very excellent statement by Kahn in the current number of E. J. I hope you are flourishing.
2. Kaldor, "Market Imperfection", p. 43n. The matter was discussed between Harrod and Joan Robinson in March 1933: see letters 295 , 296 , 297 , 298 and 299 .
