442. J. M. Keynes to Harrod , 21 March 1935 [a]

[The exchange continues at 444 ]

21 March 1935

Dear Roy,

I am under the handicap that I have never been able to know exactly how round-aboutness was measured! I confess that I was assuming that when the volume of investment increased, round-aboutness increased, and I have never yet seen a definition of the latter which made it possible to distinguish between the two. [1]

Yours ever,

J M Keynes

R.F. Harrod Esq., Christ Church, Oxford.
