14. H. F. Scott-Stokes to Harrod, 17 March 1922

Kalamazoo Works

Northfield.

17 March 1922

My dear Roy,

`further to my memo. of the nth ult.' - the local Liberal Association want an inspiring address from some young orthodox Liberal who has seen the vision - won't you come & do it now, or get one of the other luminaries to come & try his hand on the dog? [? CSS] Really not a bad opportunity of speaking outside the University, tho' the audience will be diminutive - perhaps 20. Date, Saturday week, 25 March. I haven't the conviction to do it myself, or I would gladly, and I'm ready enough to support the speaker. Come now - I crave a boon. The folk will be stodgy, perhaps, but not unintelligent
